The statement that rock music is dead does hold some truth. But it might be more accurate to say that rock isnt dead. Its just taken another form. The formula of vocals, guitar, bass and drums worked well for rock music in the beginning, but many modern artists now see it as a jumping-off point.

We havent lost a year of music; its just been delayed. As such, 2021 is going to be the most significant and most prolific year for rock music of all time… unless Kendrick drops a pop-punk album and we need to rethink it all again.
