Dhampirs have been stalking DnD for quite some time, sometimes as monsters, sometimes as playable characters, but finally with the release of Van Richtens Guide to Ravenloft we have the opportunity to play them in 5th edition.

In a straight-up slobberknocker where people are just hitting each other, Strahd will fall very quickly to a party of level 10 characters with the sunsword - hell, level 9 characters could potentially beat him as well. There are 6 characters against one, and action economy is powerful.
